Pris was a supposed "basic pleasure model" Nexus-6 replicant who was part of an escaped group of replicants led by her lover, Roy Batty. The group's goal was to demand longer lifespans from their manufacturer, the Tyrell Corporation.

Biography[]

Pris was a human, likely born in a Martian colony. At some point, she suffered a psychotic break and desired to be a replicant, to the point that she convinced herself that she indeed was one and developed the physical attributes of one.[1]

After Roy and Leon learned from Hannibal Chew that they could get to Eldon Tyrell through J.F. Sebastian, Pris used her wiles to "make friends" with Sebastian, a man who until then, literally made his friends.[2]

Acting as a lost homeless orphan, Pris managed to befriend Sebastian and was welcomed into his home at the Bradbury Apartments, where Roy eventually joined them.[2]

Just before Blade Runner Rick Deckard arrived, Pris disguised herself as one of the myriad large toy dolls that J.F. had populated his home with. She attacked Deckard very viciously, using a fighting style combining both martial arts and acrobatics. Though she initially disarmed him, Deckard recovered his sidearm and fired two[3][4][5] or three[6][7] gunshots. The first shot stopped a subsequent attack, whereupon she twitched spasmodically on the floor until she was finally retired.[2]

Roy Batty arrived a few moments later and finding Pris, he kissed her on the lips, showing great sadness at the loss of his friend. He then began his taunting final battle with Deckard.[2]

After her retirement, a bone marrow analysis determined that she was human. Her body was taken and subsequently revived by Sebastian with spare replicant parts. This rendered her mute and gave her an animalistic temperament. She stayed with Sebastian, along with Squeaker Hussar and Colonel Fuzzy, at an apartment that served as a safehouse for Blade Runners.[1]

When Deckard came to the safehouse, Pris attacked him until Sebastian managed to intervene. When Sarah Tyrell stopped at the safehouse, Pris approached her curiously, but Tyrell shot her in the face, gravely wounding her.[1]

She managed to leave the apartment and later emerged from rubble before Deckard and Holden and went to the body of Roy Batty, the templant of her former lover.[1]

As a dehydrated deity, Sebastian tried to re-create Pris in an artificial world he controlled, but was ultimately unable to.[8]
